The definition of the faltering of a society is when its art becomes hollow and vacant. When we find supremacy of style over content, attitude over achievement and institution over individual, a culture has reached its nadir. To revivify high culture it is necessary to turn to artists who are determined and able enough to challenge the status quo. In this exhibition, artists have drawn from the wellspring of creativity, unhindered by a stagnant and ridiculed academy and a malignant state-art network, to explore the primal themes of power and intimacy. Not only do the artists address the essence of these themes, they suggest that high culture - and Western society more widely - can only be rescued by individuals who understand the vitalist spark that drives men to contribute greatly towards (and preserve fiercely) their people's culture. Running for a week from the 7th of October to the 12th in London (N1, location will be released a week before the show) it will be an unmissable artistic event.
